8:45 a.m. Worship Service at Hourglass Brewing – Sunday, Jan. 23

As part of our 75th anniversary celebration, we will worship in the former Grace Covenant sanctuary at 2500 Curry Ford (now occupied by Hourglass Brewing) on Sunday, Jan. 23 at 8:45 a.m. The 10:45 service will be in our sanctuary as usual.

Sunday School Studies

The Present Word Class meets in person in John Calvin Hall, first floor. Newcomers are welcome.

The Seekers Class is meeting in person and online. To join, contact the church office to receive the Zoom link.

Ruth Circle

This year’s study will be 1-2 Peter: Living Hope in a Hard World, by Lydia Bownback. Ruth Circle meets on the 2nd Monday of each month at 10:00 a.m. in John Calvin Memorial Hall on the second floor and is open to all women of the church. 

ROOTED Youth Group

ROOTED will meet Sunday, January 23, February 13 and 27 from 5:15-7 p.m. with your friendz, FREE pizza, fun, and lesson!!

New Sunday School Class – Begins Sunday, Jan. 16

A new adult Sunday school class starts Sunday, Jan. 16, from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. in Conway Hall. Mike Beam will lead the discussions using the NOOMA short film series by Rob Bell as the curriculum. 

New Monday Night Study – Begins Monday, Jan. 17

Kim McKenzie leads a 12-week study using the book Unafraid by Adam Hamilton. Begins Monday, Jan. 17 at 7 p.m. in the Conference Room AND online. Contact for info and Zoom invite.

Then and Now

On January 23, come to the Hourglass Brewing at 8:45 a.m. for a casual, informal message and song. Come to the Grace Covenant sanctuary at 10:45 a.m. for worship featuring the choir and organ. Or come to both services for a special morning of worship “Then & Now”.

Congregational Meeting – Sunday, January 30 at 11:45 a.m.

The annual meeting of the church will be held Sunday, January 30 following the 10:45 a.m. service. Contact the church office to receive a Zoom invitation if you prefer to attend online.

Chili Cook-Off/Cookie Bake-Off – Sunday, January 30

After the Congregational Meeting, head out to the courtyard for the Chili Cook-Off/Cookie Bake-Off.  Samples will be available prior to the meeting so you can go straight to your favorite to vote and eat. “To-Go Bowls” will also be available to enjoy later. Children’s Church

Elementary age children (K-5) are invited to leave the 8:45 a.m. service with Miss Sheryl after the children’s message for a time of hands-on learning.

Book Club

Book Club meets at the Panera Bread on Semoran Blvd. at 7 p.m. on 4th Tuesdays. The book selection for January 25 is The Mystery of Mrs. Christie by Marie Benedict. Contact the church office for more information. 

Cooking with Grace

Cooking With Grace is a once a month cooking group via Zoom.  We cook together on the third Monday at 6 p.m.  Anyone can sign up to lead, share recipes or join in the fun learning to make new dishes with friends.  Sign up to receive a list of ingredients, steps to prep food in advance and the Zoom link. Contact the church office for the Zoom invite and grocery list.

The Lunch Bunch 

Meets at local restaurants at 12:30 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month. Contact the church office for the current location.

Still Stitchin’ with Grace 

Meets each Thursday from 10 am to 2 pm on the second floor of John Calvin Memorial Hall. Everyone is welcome to join our group and/or donations to support this mission are greatly appreciated.

Ruth Circle 

Ruth Circle meets on the 2nd Monday (September through May) in Conway Reception  at 10 am for Bible study and fellowship. All women of the church are invited to join the group at any time as their schedule allows.

Thursday at the Garden – Not currently meeting

Meets on the 4th Thursday of each month at the Olive Garden on East Colonial 6:30 pm.  Enjoy dinner and fellowship. No reservation needed.

Health Check – Not currently offered

First and third Sundays of each month following the 10:45 am service: have your blood pressure checked at the table in the rear of the sanctuary.

Food Pantry Sunday

First Sunday of each month non-perishable food donations are collected for elementary schools.  Please bring items suitable for younger children that require little or no cooking.

Five Cents Per Meal

Third Sunday of each month. Donating to 5¢ per Meal is a way for us to help the hungry.  Set aside 5 c per meal each time you eat. Bring what you collect over the course of the month to church on the third Sunday and it will be sent along to Second Harvest Food Bank; Society of St. Andrew; Alliance for International Reforestation in Guatemala; and PCUSA missionaries, Dan & Elizabeth Turk in Madagascar, for planting fruit trees.

Sunday School

All classes meet 9:30–10:30 am.

Preschool Class for ages 3 and 4 meets in Smith Hall, Room 1 (downstairs.)  Uses the F.R.O.G. curriculum for young learners about God.

Elementary Classes for pre-K through 5th grade meets in Smith Hall, Room 11 (upstairs.)  Follows a rotation of Bible stories and hand-on activities.

Youth Classes meet in the Youth Room in Conway Hall. Middle School and High School students meet separately each week to link the teachings in the Word to current events.

Adult Classes

      Earl Tyson meets online. Studies selected by participants vary. Led by a rotation of members. 

     Present Word meets in John Calvin Memorial Hall (upstairs). Studies the PCUSA Present Word curriculum. Led by a rotation of members.  

     Seekers meets online via Zoom and in the Conference Room, John Calvin Memorial Hall (upstairs). Participants select studies. Led by a rotation of members.

Sunday School classes offer the love and support of friends and discussion and finding answers to questions of the faith.  Join a class and grow in your faith.
